I can't help but enjoy Cezar's new relationship with the spawn, or as he calls them, "the baby". 

Realistically I don't think it can last. Cezar doesn't have the resources to feed a demon as it grows larger, and eventually they will have to pledge to a Master. 

However since they seem to have no desire for meat they have quite low energy levels. What will that do for them in the long run?

They seem to have no killing instinct either, and would have certainly perished in the pools.

I will help him, and I think in spite of herself Jahi will as well.

It goes against the natural order of things... but it still feels right?
