Slayers are an unpleasant but important part of the world. They are both more and less than "Heroes" and "Adventurers". Slayers seek only to find and kill specific monsters, demons, constructs, or people.

It is an earned title, not one that can be given to oneself.

They do not search for buried treasures, they do not help small towns with odd problems. They show up to a location and fight to the death against things that others would avoid.

The problem of course is that people get hurt in such fights, property damaged, and the very kind of person that becomes a Slayer is almost always someone who does not communicate their needs easily.

So there is a reputation that follows Slayers. Still, if you do come across one in your travels be respectful and help them as much as you can while still staying out of their way.

They usually appreciate gifts of food.
